MCM Expo

I was meant to post this on Thursday but I packed my suitcase instead and then I spent Friday running away from lumpy deer and seeing dinosaurs. Really, today deserves its own blog...which will have to wait.

This weekend is the MCM Expo where I've got a table at the Comics Village. Come along and say hello. Actually - here is that dance routine I created for it:

If you come along to my table and do the dance for me - I'll be over the moon. OR! You could just ask me for a demonstration and I'll (maybe) do it for you! Everyone is a winner!

Speaking of winners - there are some special guests at MCM this weekend  - Oliver (from Oliver) and Willow (from Willow)! Plus, Lizz and I are doing another game of Dino-Saw-Us - which you have to play.

Oh - but public transport in London appears to be a bit rubbish this weekend. HOORAY!

The Super Virgins: Part 2

Here is the concluding part of the introduction comic to The Super Virgins. Hooray! I hope you like them - because I think we'll be seeing more of them...

In other news: I went to see the Professor Layton movie and it was AMAZING! I should probably save my blurb about that for some other time. I'm still super behind on sorting out emails but I have two (!!!) new ideas for new comics. I won't give too much away but one is about a wizard and one is not about a wizard.

Also - it is MCM Expo this weekend! I am buying a new suitcase for it! Also - I made up a dance routine for it. I'll post it up on Thursday. If you come find my stall and do this dance routine then I'll be super impressed!

The Super Virgins: Part 1

Part 2 is tomorrow!

My Cardboard Life: Lady Gaga

The third, final and fanciest of my drawings for My Cardboard Life's 300th Fiesta. I hope you like it! There are some *amazing* comics taking part - it's a real opener and I'm really glad I took part.

In other news: Mister Computer needs to go back to Computer Hospital. I called the Computer Medics and they said they'll possibly have to wipe everything - which is a bit sad but I backed up a while ago so phew. Also, I'm still a little sad but I have a plan! It involves a fair few risky things but fingers crossed. I mean, the risky stuff is my backup plan - I'll try a sensible route first and hope for the best.

I'm working on a new mini comic about magic. It won't be ready in time for MCM Expo but it will totally be done for whenever my next event is. OH! And I've got a fun upload coming soon so stay tuned. It has lasers in it!

My Cardboard Life: Clowning Around

Here is the second drawing for My Cardboard Life...

My Cardboard Life: Sticking Around

Sorry for the lack of updates - everyone was having a party in honour of My Cardboard Life's 300th strip. I did some drawings and didn't want to update until they went live. And now they have! HOORAY!

Here is the first one...

Real Life: People to See!

Hello! It is Sunday evening which means tomorrow is Monday. Don't believe me? Check out a calender! Yeah - who's laughing now, eh?

Anyways - I've been miserable. So miserable that someone kindly sent me a "cheer up email," which is the sort of thing I would normally do for other people. So thank you very much Mister Email Sender - I'll write you a proper email later. I've been so miserable that someone told me I've been like a dish cloth - which is pretty miserable.

So! I'm officially taking the bull by the horns and I'm going to try to tackle a few of the things that have been making me sad. I'm going to start eating properly and I'm going to start socialising and I'm not going to drown in all the stuff I need to do. In your face Misery!

If this was a movie and I was a sassy lady character, this would be the moment when I get a makeover and cut my hair.

Ke$ha is wild (and gets a kitten)

I was saving this for an extra special day because it's one of those rare drawings that actually makes me laugh. Oh Ke$ha - I know you're wild and crazy...but you just need a hug, don't you? You poor girl. When was the last time someone gave you a hug and meant it - really meant it? It must be so difficult for you, trying to be wild and crazy all the time.

Anyways. Today is an extra special day for two reasons.

Reason 1 - Mister Computer returned from the Computer Hospital! He appears to be much better and I am typing on him right this minute! I need to spent a lot of time reorganising my files but still... hooray! Welcome back Mister Computer. I

Reason 2 - I've been really sad lately but I had some nice emails and I haven't cried - so that is another special reason in my book.

I need to sit down and start work on a new issue of People I Know - but I'll still be popping by to update drawings here. I'm sorry the last month has been so sporadic. I promise to try much harder at some point this year.

Harry Potter: You-Know-Who is totally evil!

URNK! A friend said that my drawings have been good lately! Which is lovely! But now I'm scared about uploading anything that might be rubbish. Today's drawing was going to be about sexy buildings (seriously) but I'm playing it safe with good ol' Harry Potter. Check it out - You-Know-Who *and* Wormtail! I'm totally spoiling you.

In other news: Oh dear. According to the Thing Website, there won't be any more events in the future.

This is sad because it was the first comic event I had a stall at and I've met some amazing people by doing it for the last three years. I suppose I'll need to branch out a bit more or just organise something. But still, the three Thing anthologies I have (2008 - 2010) are amazing and I'm always super impressed with them. Plus I liked the map so you could see who you were booking a table next to. I don't mean that in a creepy way...it was just useful.

Stop looking at me like that.

I wasn't at TCAF

So - the weekend went and I still didn't go to TCAF...which would have been much sadder if I hadn't attended Alternative TCAF in town. And by that, I mean that Phil Squared and I ate pancakes and cried a little. Which is pretty much what I would have done in Toronto anyways so it all works out.

Oh! Also, we went to the Portrait Gallery and looked at the sexy Royals. It was pretty amazing and I want a codpiece. A giant codpiece. Possible made of gold?

In other news: Work is kicking my bum but look! A new drawing! This is a little awkward since I might have borrowed the faces from some people and I'm not sure if I should tell them. They aren't in a band though - I just had to plop that to get to that joke. I might make more drawings that pretend to be adverts. I might also get a life. Who knows?

TCAF

Boo hoo. Tomorrow is TCAF and I won't be there. I won't be eating pancakes at Fran's and I won't be visiting Casa Loma. I totally won't be there. Boo hoo.

The sad thing is that I didn't know we were allowed to apply for stalls!

EVEN SADDER is that even if I *had* known, I don't think I would have been given a stall. I totally need to up my game. YEAH!

So here's a comic about farting. I made it for a friend who farts. I should start as I mean to go on and all that jazz.

In other news: tomorrow is potentially a pancake day! Wheeeeeeeeeeee.

Wednesday 5 May 2010

Ke$ha can't stop being wild!

Good News:
I did another comic about Ke$ha! Look at how crazy she is. She. Is. Just. WILD!
Also, I had the day off work and someone was nice enough to explain how to update my website from a computer that isn't my own.

Bad News:
I had the day off work because the engineer was going to fix my computer. However, he did all sorts of things involving graphics cards and motherboards and although the computer got better for a little while, it started turning itself off again. It isn't even a year old! So it has to be sent off to Computer Hospital and might not be back for six (!!!!!) weeks.

Boo hoo!

The Long Weekend of Awful Jokes #3

And now it's Monday...which means that this is the last official bad joke from The Long Weekend of Awful Jokes. It has Toby and Christina in it - I feel bad for neglecting them.

I'll probably bust out some more Awful Jokes soon. Be prepared.

IN OTHER NEWS: I have been really busy with drawing this weekend. You've got lots of things to look forward to, including (but not limited to):
  • Hats
  • Ke$ha being totally wild and out of control
  • A dance routine
  • Your new favourite band

EXCITING TIMES!

UK General Election: You Should Vote!

I was trying to think of how to make voting seem more exciting to different demographics...and this is what I came up with.

If you're able to vote in the UK General Election, then do it!

YEAH

The Long Weekend of Awful Jokes #2

Whatever - don't look at me like that. I told you they were awful.

At least this one is cute, right?

The Long Weekend of Awful Jokes

It's a Bank Holiday Weekend - three whole days of not doing much. HOORAY! To celebrate, I have decided to upload a different Awful Joke each day until I return to work. I'd like to say I've been planning this for a while...but it's really because I happen to have some comics which have awful jokes in them.

To start with - here are two of the Power Rangers! Someone told me that the Red Ranger is doing naughty movies these days but I can't believe it. He was always so noble!

Today was Free Comic Book Day and I went to Orbital Comics where We Are Words + Pictures were giving out copies of Paper Science 2. I did some drawing and spoke to people I've never spoken to before - which is sort of impressive for me. I also did some drawings - I hope the new people didn't think I was a twat.

My computer is meant to be getting fixed on Wednesday - so I can hopefully start updating the proper site after that.

HOORAY!

Enjoy the weekend
